Video Insert - Roots Search: Shokushin Buttai X

This is a translation of the insert sheet which comes with the original 1986 release of  Roots Search: Shokushin Buttai X  on home media. The reverse side of this sheet contains the lyrics for the vocal theme as well as voiceover credit. Story  Far away in the distant future, in the black expanse of space that stretches infinitely and deeply. This story begins on the planet called Tolmekius. Inside of the E.S.P. research laboratory of the space research satellite which is in orbit above the planet, the study of an Esper is underway. The test subject is an 18-year old girl called Moira. She is a member of this research team, and rather than having “premonitions”, she has the ability to “read” the future. Her beautiful eyes have filled with sadness, everyone believes that her and Scott, her colleague, have a promising future together, however… A small spaceship suddenly warps in during their research. PROFILE: Kōichi Ōhata. Illustrator born in 1962. Was blown away by the amazing preview of the animated movie “South Park” set to be released this summer. After all, productions of a certain policy are different. Also the ultimate otaku movie “Galaxy Quest” is a must-see!! In the spring of 1984, “Super High-Speed Galvion” began broadcasting, at the same time as Mamoru Nagano’s “Heavy Metal L-Gaim” and Studio Ammonite’s “Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross”, the young mecha designers behind these shows were gaining attention for their work, as robot anime was being broadcast on a channel somewhere everyday.  Early autumn, 1983. “Subspace Mission Srungle” continued broadcasting after the closure of the Clover toy company, but a new project would have to be outlined and finalised for the toy sponsor of the next program.
