Sōkihei M.D. Geist Film Comics
"Film Comics" were short-length print versions of OVAs that provided truncated summaries and stories of the titles they were tied in with, they featured stills from the original animation which were arranged in a semi-comic book style, but with narrational text instead of speech bubbles.
Several hundred years have passed since the end of the Christian Era. Humanity has advanced into space, to the multitude of star systems, by dominating planets through the power of their civilisation. However, the flames of war were not extinguished, not even this planet, Jerra, was exempt. Jerra had long been ravaged by the destruction and damage wrought by the fighting between the Regular Army and the Negsrom Army, and the soldiers who fled were attacked and plundered by biker gangs who made their living stealing valuables. The planet Jerra was a lawless place that above all operated on the unbreakable code of “the law of the jungle”. One day, the biker gang led by Golem met a man by the name of Geist. Geist defeated Golem and became the new leader, but Geist’s motivations weren’t to amass resources. Geist saves the Regular Army land battleship, the Noah Guards, and its captain, Colonel Crutes, from a losing battle, but the reality is, Colonel Crutes was the man responsible for imprisoning Geist, a former Regular Army soldier, in space for being “the most dangerous man”. Colonel Crutes’ mission is to prevent the activation of Program “D”, the strongest retaliatory attack system in the Jerra Regular Army. In the same fold, this time he plans to bury Geist forever, but what is Geist’s goal…!? The Noah Guards charged into the Brain Palace with a thunderous roar…!
CHARACTER
Geist
Former Regular Army Soldier. He was known as “the most dangerous man” and was imprisoned on a satellite in space because his fighting ability was too high, but he has once again returned to Jerra.
Colonel Crutes
Captain of the land battleship, Noah Guards. He aims to stop the activation of Program “D”. He was the authority behind the imprisonment of Geist.
Paia
Golem’s mistress and the sub-leader of the biker gang. After Golem’s death, she lures in Geist to make money.
Mash
The most important member of the biker gang under Golem and Paia. His agility and wit during a fight are superhuman.
Hans
A Regular Army soldier aboard the Noah Guards. He dies heroically in the Brain Palace.
Sakamoto
Also aboard the Noah Guards, he is a Regular Army soldier of Nikkei descent. Together with Crutes he aims to halt Program “D”.
The desolated land…
Planet Jerra. Several hundred years have passed since the end of the Christian Era. Humanity has advanced into space, spreading their supreme culture to the multitude of star systems. However, the hatred of man, and the flames of war, were certainly not extinct. Once more today in the sky above the desolate battleground, the sound of a VTOL transport unit could be heard. The battle between the Jerra Regular Army and the emergent Negsrom Army had continued to escalate.
Inside of the VTOL unit, the squad of armed Negsrom troops were standing by for their air drop operation. Their external appearance was like that of a large head attached to a skeletal body. Above the surface, the whiteness of the bones of real skeletons were exposed under the searchlights. The pilots spoke, “I’d love to be able to meet someone who’s been able to survive in all this, other than monsters”.
Above the scorched earth a single man was shadowed. He was lying on his back on the bare brown earth, with a gun in his left hand. The VTOL unit was in his sights. An anchor was visible on the gun’s muzzle. Could the sound of the heartbeat be his? Blonde hair, blue eyes. The arm holding the Anchor Gun pointed up strongly, its mass brought out the coldness in the man’s face. Slowly, temptingly, the man’s finger came to the trigger.
‘Grh’! The eyes awake
The man was stone cold as he pulled the trigger
The eyes of the man light up and he pulls the trigger. The Anchor-Wire fires, and pierces the belly of the VTOL unit. The wire makes a “kch” as it retracts, and the man ascends up to the machine. He has been waiting for his moment to destroy this transport unit. The Launcher Gun fires, and the aircraft goes down in flames, exploding.
The man’s Launcher roars!
His name is “Most Dangerous Geist”, Regular Army Special Forces Commander. Thanks to Bioclone theory, he possesses combat strength that far surpasses ordinary men. However, his fighting method was so ferocious that he was considered the highest threat in existence, therefore in the year 5843, he was imprisoned in an artificial satellite. Now though, he has re-appeared to many people.
The hyenas in the ruined city
A runaway soldier flees through a ghost town. From behind him, a gang of bikers give chase. They were part of Golem’s gang who attacked and robbed people of their belongings. The cornered deserter was pierced by the biker’s anchor-ropes.
“You’re dead, you bastard runaway!”. From up high were Golem and his mistress, Paia, the rulers of this ghost town. Golem hurls his spear at the lost soldier who was still struggling to escape. It broke through the power suit, and the defeated soldier fell into muddy water.
Geist comes before the biker gang!
A gaze was fixed on the power suit on the dead soldier, it was Geist!! Pulling out the spear, he spoke little, “not bad…”. As he expressionlessly picked apart suit, the biker gang surrounded Geist, “who the hell are you? Get your dirty hands off of our loot!”. Geist’s eyes sparkled blue as he took in the faces of the gang members, “trash like you have no idea what to do with this equipment, the only one who knows how to use it is me!”. It was the critical moment! “MA-ASH!!” Golem called.
“You’ve got guts, young one. Looks like you really want it, but, there are two paths you can follow. Be my lackey, or fight me and win”, “fight…?”, Geist’s eyes flashed again. “Rules?”, “kill… nothing else!”, Golem yelled and attacked Geist, however, that was all.
The bout was over in an instant!!
Geist was led to the dome
The crumbling dome: it was the stronghold of Paia’s group. Now, Geist was their leader. The members talked around the fire, “make no mistake, sis’s brains have gotten us out of some bad situations, but this time I can’t figure her out!”, “hey, hold it!”, Mash held them back. “Big sis must certainly be something of something… otherwise, she wouldn’t have tried so hard to bring him in…”, Mash looked back at the tent as the knife he was playing with came out in a flash.

Paia’s tent was faintly lit by a lamp, there were two shadows flickering. It was Geist and Paia. “Ever since the manned Powered Machine that was in development made it to the fight, the Negsrom side is so much stronger! Now, the Regular Army has fallen to bits”, Paia spoke while tracing her finger on the plate on Geist’s chest”. “G… E… I… S… T… such a strong name”, Paia whispered coaxingly as she undressed, “Geist…”.
Paia seduces Geist
Paia pressed her lips close to Geist. “You’ve got it wrong, your head and the information in it are what I want”, “don’t embarrass me”, Paia’s caresses continued. Geist’s hand move up Paia’s back, then, grabbing her hair, he threw her down from the bed. “Get out! I don’t want to be disturbed”, “what are you doing, you frigid bastard?!”, as she left with her clothes, Paia spoke to herself. “I’m gonna stick with this guy. He has something different to other men… as long as I keep him around, not even the Grim Reaper can kill me!”.
From Geist’s vantage point in the wasteland, the battle is confirmed!!
Dawn broke. Standing on a high hill, Geist saw a dust cloud in the distance through binoculars, Paia whispered next to him. “It’s a big one, Geist! You got really lucky”, in the distant dust cloud, a battle between the Regular Army and Negsrom Army soldiers was breaking out. “Backing up the Regular Army won’t get you anything though”, Geist makes no attempt to respond to Paia, instead holding up his binoculars in silence.
The rumbling of earth-shaking explosions
The sound of an enormous hurtling vehicle could be heard in the wasteland. The land battleship of the Regular Army, the Noah Guards, was under pursuit by the Negsrom Powered Machines. Geist stood looking through the binoculars, the wasteland was reflected into them and a huge cloud of dust was approaching. “I’m going to show you that taking the strong side isn’t the way to make money”, aiming for the Regular Army, Geist swooped down the rocky mountain in one go in his mechanised bike. Next, Mash’s bike took off at the signal, “if we don’t fight, we’ll have to suffer that fucking monster, it’s all the same!”.
The help that came to the Regular Army in a desperate situation
Onboard the Noah Guards battleship, one after another, reports of a hard struggle were being relayed. “Count of enemy Powered Machines, four on our flank, three on our rear, confirmed”, “we have too many wounded! We’re not able to keep up with the movement of enemy infantry!”, growing impatient, Colonel Crutes left the bridge to attack personally. Sitting in the gun battery seat, he shoots down the enemy’s Powered Machines one after the other, but then notices the support coming from a motorcycle. Then, a sparkle of a muted gold plate was on his chest, the Colonel felt like he had seen it somewhere before.
Geist danced into battle
Geist charged into battle with the full acceleration of the bike, and with movement so fast that seemed impossible for a human, destroyed the Negsrom Army’s Powered Machines one by one. The Negsrom soldiers screamed, there was a faint smile on Geist!
The Regular Army escaped from danger!
The Negsrom forces gradually fell to pieces, and before long they realised their fate was sealed. Nonetheless, all under the strength of Geist alone!! The Regular Amy soldiers on the Noah Guards caught an image of Geist through the periscope, as if in response, Geist grinned. “W-Who is that man…?”, the Regular Army soldiers were filled with awe, and at the same time, a strong sense of admiration at the image of Geist standing indifferently among the dead bodies strewn on the battlefield.
A superior officer and former subordinate confront one another
“First of all, allow me to thank you”, Crutes spoke to Geist and Paia. Immediately, Paia tries to pitch Geist’s price, but Crutes refuses to listen. Geist stares at Crutes…
Colonel Crutes knew that Geist was an M.D.S. when he saw the plate on his chest. M.D.S. stood for “Most Dangerous Soldier”. The M.D.S. was feared during the early days of the great war for being the most dangerous being in existence, and due to his extremely powerful fighting ability, was finally imprisoned in space by his allies. Now, one such M.D.S., Geist, had once again re-appeared.
Hans and Sakamoto were fascinated by Geist’s abilities
Taking the hopes of Hans and Sakamoto into consideration, Colonel Crutes brings Geist and Paia onboard for their mission: it was decided to have them participate in the termination of Program “D”. Crutes also had another plan in mind, “…this is our vital strategic centre, Brain Place. This is where preparations for Program D are underway. Its codename is Billion Buster. We will stop Program D from launching an indiscriminate attack against all lifeforms! The time remaining is 11 hours and 45 minutes”, Crutes explained the operation to Geist.
Geist’s eyes shone strangely as he began to put on the powered suit
Geist was equipping the powered suit in the dim armoury. Paia then entered. “You’re at it, huh, hehehe… you really are the genuine article. Say, if you and I teamed up, we could do anything, right? That includes big money”, however, Geist continued with the equipment in silence. “How about you at least listen to what other people have to say!”, she spat, and Paia left.
Crutes was alone in the operation room. The screen displayed the blue prints of the Brain Palace. A blinking light travelled through the passages in the Brain Palace, when it reached the central area, a humanoid model appeared inside a cube. Colonel Crutes grinned and laughed. The Noah Guards ran at full speed in the pouring rain.
Gzh! Gzh! Equipment complete!
In the hangar, the Regular Army soldiers were equipped in their powered suits. As a result of the long-standing battle, their morale was low. Then, Geist appeared, against the backlight he seemed like some kind of demon.
Let’s go! The operation begins!
Geist and the men invade the Brain Palace!
The Noah Guards stored the Brain Palace, breaking through its walls. Geist and the others began their attack as bird-like machines flew out from the central structure. Crutes and his Regular Army soldiers fought back with spears and guns. One by one however, the comrades fell under the enemy attack.
“Once again, they’re all dead… No, it’s YOU who killed them”, Crutes called
Geist put himself on guard in a strange place, as a statue gets ready to attack
A light travels from a ring on Crutes’ finger, and hits the statue. Now, behold! The statue moves off and attacks Geist! He fires his bazooka! The impact throws the statue back against the wall. As if nothing happened though, it rose up, and swung its axe down on Geist! He caught it with the bazooka. In silence, the fierce battle continues. Before he knew it, Geist’s left shoulder protector had been cut through and blood was coming from his abdomen.
“Uough!”, the statue’s axe is broken
Geist fell back in sharp pain, but somehow he had to withstand it. All his weight was on his feet. The statue attacked him without mercy, its axe was swung down with furious force! Geist caught the haft with both hands, and with all his might tried to repel it. Creaking, creaking, the haft gave way. Snap! The statue stepped back to slowly take guard. Geist threw the broken axe, just like that it became embedded in the central structure to the rear.

“Uoghh!”, Geist’s counterattack
“Now!”, Geist ran toward the statue and threw violent punches at its head and face, and another to its chest! It was Geist’s barrage! Ktscha! Ktscha! Geist’s straight arms sank into the statue’s whole body with deep thuds. Little by little, the statue was dropping to a kneel. No, Geist’s ardent punches had shocked it into no longer standing. Even still more punches hit the statue. A moment later, the statue’s eyes seemed to light up, then the shell of its body began to melt. A thick, bubbling liquid was flowing down, exposing its true robotic body.
The robot strangles, but the knife goes in
The knife thrust into its head caused the robot to self-destruct. Nonetheless, now its individual body parts separated and it begun its attack from the air. Even more so, this unexpected attack confused Geist.
At that same time, Crutes was at the centre of the Brain Palace. He’d done it! Program “D” had been halted. “Long Tom to Sphinx, the operation is complete”, Crutes relayed to headquarters.
The robot returned, but from behind it…
The End of Colonel Crutes
Paia entered the main room as Crutes’ brutally slain body was on the floor. “Everyone up above has been killed too… but all that matters is that you’re alive”. Geist silently tapped on the keyboard, “D” was displayed on the screen! “W-What is this?! What are you thinking?!”, Geist turned his head and insanity was in his eyes, he grabbed Paia by the throat. He uttered “my game is just getting started”, Paia’s scream rang out…!!
