OUT - March 1986: "Sokihei Billion Buster" - Preview Article
The original pre-production working title for Sokihei M.D. Geist was "Death Force", however, there was another interim working title, which OUT magazine refers to as "Sokihei Billion Buster" in their March 1986 edition. An alternate name for the Death Force machines as indicated in the Complete Collection Record book, this "Billion Buster" moniker would remain on the video sleeve, giving the OVA the full title of "Billion Buster Series: Sokihei M.D. Geist". The brief synopsis below describes an early version of the first half of the OVA.
The name of the protagonist is MD, which is an abbreviation for “Most Dangerous”. In the late stages of the final war’s quagmire state, Geist was imprisoned in an artificial satellite. Taking advantage of its crash landing, he escapes and meets the biker gang Metal Cetus, led by Golem, in a city that had been reduced to a ghost town…
The MDS, the Most Dangerous Soldier, can be described as walking insanity or mobile carnage, what type of production will this become?
