Geist jumps to help the Regular Army
Bronze Hills. Daytime. Geist looked through binoculars from a high hill. Reflected back in the far distance of the wasteland was the hurtling Regular Army land battleship, the Noah Guards. It was painful to witness the emblem of the Regular Army come under attack as the bridge took damage. Paia was talking, it was plain to her that the Regular Army were in dire circumstances. As proof, originally, the land ships ran across the battlefields, supporting friendly forces independently from the rear, now, they were ridiculed by the Negsrom Army’s Powered Machines. Geist nodded as if in agreement on something and climbed aboard a three-point motorcycle. Until yesterday, Geist had the appearance of a vagrant, and had changed into a unrecognisably good-looking man with both his hair cut and sunglasses. Taking the binoculars from Geist, Paia shouted as she looked through them, “you caught a big one, Geist! You got lucky. You aren’t going to get anything out of helping the Regular Army though”, “I’m going to show you that taking the strong side isn’t the way to make money”, Geist said as such, and took off on the machine. In that instance, he headed for the Noah Guards which was under pursuit.

The biker gang followed Geist’s charge
“Hmph! If they have no money, then it’s a waste of time. You have to be crazy to go up against Negsrom!”, even as Paia said this, she had a secret hunch, ("he might really be able to do it..."), about Geist’s undetermined wells of power. As soon as Geist sped down the rocky mountain, Paia fired her flare gun as planned. The flash burst open against the blue sky. “That’s the signal…”, Mash muttered in anticipation from the far distance. Beast, his sidekick, spoke up. “Hey, are we really going to be fighting the Negsrom?”, fixing his trademark cap, Mash answered curtly, “if we don’t do it, we’ll have to suffer that fucking monster. Either way, it’s all the same”. He revved up the bike’s engine after speaking, and like Geist, made a dash for the Noah Guards. The other gang members followed suit and took off. Mash thought about how there was no way they could win against the Negsrom opposition. Like Paia though, Geist’s power was something he was surely betting on.

The mystery man appears before Colonel Crutes
Onboard the Noah Guards, Regular Army soldiers yelled to one another. “Engine No. 2 overheating, use coolant!”, “rotation of left front treads is sluggish! Don’t slow down!!”, “count of enemy Powered Machines, four confirmed on our flank, three units confirmed to our rear. The rear group, the central unit appears to be the commander”. Noah Guards ship captain Colonel Crutes grumbled loathsomely about the persistent attack from the enemy. “Gruesome little cockroaches… What’s going on with our rear gun? Our barrage is thin!”, one of the operators answers, “we have too many wounded, and we’re struggling to keep up with enemy movement”, Crutes gave his instructions as he left the control room. “Maintain our current speed until I return! Prepare the FITEX too!”.

Crutes headed to the to the rear gun emplacement and fired their machine guns. Just then, a Powered Machine climbed on top of the stationary gun! Cracks started to appear in the glass of its canopy ceiling. Crutes panicked, but he was rescued from danger by Geist. Crutes looked down for the unforeseen helper. It was then that Crutes saw it clearly, on the chest was the shining signaculum of the M.D.S….

Geist and the bikers attacked the Negsrom Army’s Powered Machines one-by-one. The Negsrom Army had never lost. Rotating their battery guns, the Powered Machines took aim at the biker gang and opened fire. The battlefield rang out with eruptive sounds and screams. However, Geist was no ordinary man. Preparing the spear that was carried on the bike, he jumped and impaled it through the cockpit of a Powered Machine! In a flash he jumps to another machine, breaks the canopy and drives a knife through the operator’s head! Hans’ voice rose with awe, “who is that man! He’s incredible…”. The enemy was totally annihilated, Paia appeared, “well then Mr. Army Man, you can see how tall and strong my men are”.

The mysterious message delivered by Geist that turns Crutes pale!
“Allow me to say thank you first of all, Mr. Geist. Because of your efforts, you saved our Noah Guards from danger”, “I previously belonged to the Regular Army, it’s an honour to be able to fight”, Crutes and Geist exchanged a handshake. It was then that Paia gave her hard sales pitch, “alright already, that’s enough of the formalities… let’s get to the real issue, shall we?”, Crutes looked in Paia’s direction. “You look like a civilian to me… who are you?”, “I’m Mr. Geist’s manager. You know how strong he is, right? Well then, think good and hard about it”. Crutes spoke after a moment, “I have to answer?”, “settle on a price, already! Don’t joke me around!”,“shut it! You fucking hyena! I’m not so down on my luck that I owe duty to scum like you”, Crutes’ attitude flared up. Paia went to take Geist with her as she left. It was then that Geist gazed at Crutes and muttered in a low voice. “Crutes… Obild, Folgein-Schtreim…!”, Crutes turned pale for a moment as he heard that. Geist and Paia then went to leave. From behind Crutes, Hans had a question. “Are you just going to let them go?”, “that’s right, he’s far too much of a risk for us! You saw that metal tag around his neck… that’s the sign of an M.D.S.”, “M.D.S.?”, “you new recruits probably don’t know about them, in the early stages of the great war, the M.D.S. were feared for being the deadliest people in existence. Because of their extreme and powerful fighting proficiency, they were considered unnecessary soldiers within the army…”.

Stop the launch of Program D!!
“I’m going to explain our top secret mission, pay very close attention”, Colonel Crutes was detailing a strategy in the briefing room of the Noah Guards. In there with them was the figure of Geist. The Regular Army soldiers revered Geist as their saviour, they possessed a burning desire to take part in their operation, Crutes had yielded. There was just one other thing, Crutes had a plan… his explanation continued. “This is our vital strategic centre, Brain Palace. At this present time, this is where preparations for Program D are underway during the state of frozen war. Our mission is to enter the Brain Palace and prevent the launch of Program D”, blue prints of the Brain Palace were displayed on the front monitor, followed by the letter “D”. Words appeared on the screen, Geist and Paia gazed fixedly. Crutes continued, “D is Death Force. Death Force is the Regular Army’s largest and strongest retaliatory attack system”. Computers governed the entirety of Jerra, they determined every decision, the Regular Army were not an exception to this and at this precise moment, their central computer had proclaimed the use of Program D.

If the computer concludes ‘the Regular Army has been destroyed’, it aims to wipe out all lifeforms in retaliation. If it isn’t stopped, Crutes and every other remaining Regular Army soldier will be killed by their own offensive. “Its codename is Billion Buster. Billion Buster machines react to all lifeforms and attack them with total indiscrimination. At Program D’s activation, tens of millions of Billion Buster machines will cover the whole planet. Four days ago, President Ryan, the head of the Regular Army, died at Sandorea Garden, it was then that Brain Palace entered the final stage. We have 11 hours and 45 minutes until activation. The Noah Guards will break through from the front, we have FITEX for Hans, Lester, Jack, Sakamoto, Mr. Geist and me, the six of us will head for the control room. Our final target is here!”, the eyes of Geist shone strangely as he stared intently.
